Raiders rally past Cherokee to stay unbeaten

WOODSTOCK -- North Forsyth rallied from a third quarter deficit to beat Cherokee 34-27 Friday night.

The Raiders (3-0) got a 6-yard TD run from Zach Slaton to erase a 20-14 Cherokee lead. They blew the game open with a pair touchdown passes from Harris Roberts to Luke Slaton in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 34-20 lead.

The Warriors (2-1) scored a late touchdown with 13 seconds left to make the score closer.

Zach Slaton and Luke Slaton each finished with 124 total yards. Zach Slaton had 109 yards rushing and scored on runs of 1, 1, and 6 for the Raiders. Luke Slaton scored on TD receptions of 15- and 51-yards.

Roberts finished 7-of-10 passing for 129 yards and two touchdowns.

North Forsyth led 14-0 after the first quarter but the Warriors cut it to 14-13 by halftime and took the lead 20-14 early in the third quarter.
