DULUTH - A Duluth man told police he was held against his will for five hours in the back seat of his car Wednesday and forced to remove money from his ATM account for his kidnappers.

Gwinnett County police said they are now looking for two suspects in the case, both of them black males, both believed to be around 19-years-old.

The whole episode started around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bridgewater Apartments on Ridge Brook Trail when the victim told police he arrived home from work and was confronted by his kidnappers. He said the suspects ordered him back into the car at gunpoint and got in after him.

Gwinnett police said the suspects ordered the victim to get onto I-85 South and then, after traveling a few exits, the suspects ordered the victim to pull over. According to police, the victim was then forced into the back seat where he was pistol-whipped and beaten as the suspects demanded access to his bank account. One of the suspects then got into the driver's seat and operated the vehicle while the second suspect remained in the back with the victim. The suspect in the back attempted to burn the victim with a cigarette lighter to gain the victim's PIN number.

The suspects went to the Wells Fargo Bank ATM machine at 2349 Cheshire Bridge Road in Atlanta and took money from the victim's account. The suspects then abandoned the victim and his car at a nearby apartment complex.

The victim told police he was able to locate his car keys and drive home, where he called police and reported the crime.

Police said the victim refused medical treatment.
