Her responsibilities include promoting public confidence in the sheriff's office by monitoring performance standards, integrity, and ethical standards; ensuring that all policies and procedures are up to date and adhered to by all sheriff's office employees; drafting policies at the direction of the sheriff, and informing the employees of the updates; organizing community awareness events; and serving as the official spokesperson of the sheriff's office to both the media and the public.
McFaddin is a 2006 graduate of Athens Technical College, majoring in business technology and marketing management. She has seven years of law enforcement experience and has served in supervisory roles including public relations liaison for the Elbert County Sheriff's Office.
She has received awards from organizations such as the Governor's Office of Highway Safety and Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) for her service to the community.
"I am extremely excited about this opportunity with the sheriff's office," McFaddin says. "I appreciate the confidence that Sheriff Speed and the agency has placed in me. I believe that Sheriff Speed and the command staff have a great vision of where they want to lead the agency and I am truly humbled to be a part of that."
