SUWANEE -- Jordan Phillips scored on a error in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Jefferson a 5-4 win over Jackson County Saturday in girls softball action in a game played at North Gwinnett High School.

Jefferson (9-4) trailed most of the game as Jackson County scored twice in the first inning on a RBI double from Mason Garland and a RBI ground out by Peyton Sorrells. The Lady Dragons cut it to 2-1 in the second when Phillips scored her first run of the game on the first of three Jackson County errors.

The Lady Panthers would eventually push their lead to 4-2 in the fifth on Garland's second RBI of the game. But Jefferson would rally to tie the game in the bottom of the fifth on Erin Jackson's sacrifice fly scoring Caitlin Cantrell and then a RBI double from Meagan Faulkner scoring Phillips.

Cantrell got the win pitching the final four innings allowing no earned runs on three hits.

Jefferson next will travel to Washington-Wilkes on Tuesday for a Region 8-AA doubleheader.
