Softball: Jefferson, Husted light up Rabun County

TIGER -- The Jefferson softball team blanked Rabun County 8-0 in 5 innings on Tuesday in Tiger.

Jefferson's Olivia Husted shut down the Lady Wildcats from the pitching circle, allowing just three hits and no walks, while striking out seven. Husted also starred at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double and four RBI.

Savannah Snapp also tripled and drove in a run for the Lady Dragons (8-4, 5-1 Region 8-AA). Jordan Phillips, Meagan Faulkner and Raegan Sandy also drove in runs in the win.

Jefferson will take on Jackson County at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at North Gwinnett as a make-up of the rain out games for the Bulldog/Hawk Tournament.
