GAINESVILLE - Authorities in Hall County seized drugs totalling over $16,800 on the street in an investigation that resulted in one arrest at a motel in Gainesville.

The Gainesville-Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad and Hall County Sheriff's Office warrants deputies served two arrest warrants on Andrew Harold Tostenson, 30, of Gainesville.

According to MANS Lt. Scott Ware, the bust happened Sunday in a room of the Motel 6 on Monroe Drive.

"It was actually the warrants officers that located the drugs initially after they arrested him, and they called us," Ware said.

After searching the room, authorities found about six ounces of methamphetamine as well as quantities of marijuana, Oxycodone, Adderall and Diazepam, according to Ware. Investigators also seized a loaded 9mm pistol that was stolen and a .22 revolver.

"It was a decent amount of methamphetamine, six ounces. We'll take that any day," Ware said.

Tostenson is charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, marijuana, Oxycodone, Adderall and Diazepam.

He's also charged with two counts each of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Other counts include felony theft by receiving as well as Hall and Glynn County arrest warrants.

Ware said he believed the Hall County warrant was a state court probation warrant stemming from a meth. charge in July.

"Glynn County I believe was some type of theft warrant, but I don't know the specifics."

Tostenson was booked into the Hall County Jail as the investigation continued.

"I think we'll have another arrest, hopefully," Ware said.
