Officials say they had so many companies and individuals participate this year that every Hall County and Gainesville City school was able to receive a number of pre-filled backpacks. Members of the agency's Young Leaders Society delivered more than 300 backpacks to the schools the week before students started arriving.
Winners of the essay contest are: Margarita Corona, Summer Stone, and Maria Jaimes.
