Warrant issued for sex offender who allegedly lied about address

CUMMING - The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is looking for a registered sex offender after a visit to his stated residence revealed he had never lived there.

Vincent Brently Hall registered as a sex offender in Forsyth County Monday. Deputy Doug Rainwater said he listed a Chattahoochee Road, Cumming address.

Rainwater said it's their policy to validate those addresses within 24 hours of registration.

"Once the investigators arrived on Chattahoochee Road, this (Tuesday) morning, they quickly realized that Vincent Hall had never lived at this address, through interviews with neighbors," Rainwater said.

Investigators secured a warrant for violation of the sex offender registry by providing false information in reference to Hall's home address.

"Vincent Hall was convicted in Gwinnett County on April 25, 2007 for child molestation," Rainwater said of Hall's original conviction.

Authorities described Hall as black, 28-years-old, 5'09,165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Rainwater said anyone who sees Hall should call 911.

While the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has been conducting checks to verify current sex offender addresses, Rainwater said the Hall warrant stemmed from the standard 24 hour check.
