Skip Barber Racing School, Zaxby's help make a wish come true

CHESTNUT MOUNTAIN - Four-year-old Makenzie Johnson of Stone Mountain is battling acute lymphoid leukemia. Because her condition is considered life-threatening, she was eligible for a wish experience from Make-A-Wish Georgia.

Makenzie's heartfelt wish was to drive a race car. Skip Barber Racing School and Zaxby's partnered with Make-A-Wish to help bring her wish to life recently at the Skip Barber complex near Chestnut Mountain.

Upon arriving at Skip Barber Racing School near Road Atlanta, Makenzie received her very own driving suit and customized pink helmet.

She and her family received a tour of the facility, where they learned about race cars, racetracks and all that Makenzie would be able to participate in during her wish experience. The Skip Barber Racing School crew custom-made a race track for Makenzie's pint-sized race car. The Braselton Zaxby's provided meals for the family and crew. Zaxby's Kidz Club mascot, LZ, was also on hand.
