GAINESVILLE - Filming of the new Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore movie moved to Riverside Drive in Gainesville Wednesday. And, the movie, known as "Blended" when shooting began, has a new title: "The Familymoon."

Filming in the Gainesville area began late last month when scenes involving a baseball field were shot at Four Seasons on Lanier in Flowery Branch. The producers renovated an athletic field at the subdivision by adding new turf, fencing, bleachers, etc.

Other scenes were shot in Buford at the Mall of Georgia.

Earlier this month, the production crew moved into Gainesville, using First Baptist Church on Green Street as a staging area for equipment for filming in Gainesville.

The comedy, which is expected to be released next May, tells the story of a man and woman who, after a bad blind date, "find themselves stuck together at a resort for families, where their (attraction) grows as their respective kids benefit from the burgeoning relationship," according to imdb.com.
