According to the city, the Georgia Teens Ride with PRIDE (Parents Reducing Injuries and Driver Error) effort will focus on driver attitude, knowledge and behavior. It's an effort between police and the Georgia Traffic Injury Prevention Institute.
It's not a hand-on driving class, but will address topics including seat belts, crash dynamics, teen driving law, parents and peer pressure, according to the city.
The free two-hour program is scheduled Thursday, August 29, 6:30 p.m. at the Suwanee Police Training Center at 2966 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.
Officials said space is limited, and reservations are required by August 19. A parent or guardian must attend the session with their teen.
