The first accident happened around noon Thursday. According to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), 75 year old Howard Bolinger of Cumming was unable to maintain his lane and crossed the centerline of Winder Highway at Curk Roberts Road. The car hit a Toyota Tundra head-on.
The driver of the Toyota, 18 year old Miranda Conway, and her passenger, 15 year old Gabrielle Conway, both from Dillard, were taken to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center for injuries.
Bolinger and his passenger, 75 year old Donna Bolinger, were also injured and transported to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
No charges have been filed at this time.
The second accident happened around 2:00 a.m. Friday on Highway 129 or Athens Highway in the Talmo area. Troopers said Andrew Inyangetor, 24, of Columbia, S.C., crossed the center line while negotiating a curve and hit a Honda Civic head-on.
According to GSP, Inyangetor was charged with DUI, failure to maintain lane, possession of open container in a vehicle passenger area and tire requirements.
The driver of the Honda, Jose Magana Amezcua, 42 from Gainesville, along with four passengers were injured and transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
