JEFFERSON -- After a long wait, the Slack Auto Parts World Crown 300 at Gresham Motorsports Park is set to run on Saturday.

Inclement weather forced the annual race to reschedule from July 4, but the race is on this weekend for the track in Jefferson.

Kipper Tool will provide free entrance to the race and fireworks show to all active and retired military personnel. There are a limited number of tickets and Military ID must be presented at the ticket gate on race day in order to receive free admission.

Race fans can also test their driving skills at the event. Akins Ford, provider of the 2013 GMP Pace Car, will also provide a race simulator for the evening at no cost to fans.

Due to the reschedule, GMP's season was shortened by one race. For this reason, annual trackside parking space holders will be given one free adult general admission ticket (a value of $30). The value of the ticket will compensate for the extra race date that was paid for in advance when the season trackside parking space was purchased. Please make sure to have your parking hang-tag at the trackside ticket gate on race day.

Ticket prices are $30 for adult general admission, $25 for seniors and military, $15 for students and teachers, and free for children ages 12 and under. The $5 discount coupons from Slack Auto Parts for the July 4 race date will be valid.
