GAINESVILLE - Congressman Doug Collins of Gainesville is keeping his August busy while home in the ninth district.

The Republican lawmaker has scheduled a series of stops at meetings and/or locations dealing with the region's agriculture interests.

During the tour, according to Collins' office, he will speak with several groups and meet one-on-one with constituents.

"It's important for me to truly understand the needs of our farmers to make sure I am representing their best interests in Congress," Collins said in a press statement.

During his time home in August, Collins has also scheduled a series of roundtable discussions related to regulatory burdens on local business and industry.
