WINDER - A 19-year-old man burglary suspect who led the Barrow County Sheriff's Office on a high speed chase Monday has been captured in Morgan County.

The suspect, Kaleb Jordan Moss, allegedly stole a pick up truck last week and robbed a home a few days later. Deputies attempted to stop him on Smith Mill Road Monday, which was the start of what became a high speed chase.

"Deputies spotted a red Dodge Dakota pickup truck which was stolen from a location here in Barrow County... that vehicle was also suspect in a burglary as well. That all happened in about a week's time," Barrow County Sheriff's Office Lt. Matt Guthras said.

The vehicle chase ended in Oconee County, near the Morgan County line.

"The vehicle chase ended when the suspect lost control and drove into a ditch. No one was injured in the accident and no other vehicles were involved," said Guthas.

Moss then fled on foot.

According to the Oconee County Sheriff's Office, Moss was found and caught in Morgan County late Tuesday. At this point, specific details of the capture have not been released.

Officials from Oconee and Morgan County Sheriff's Offices, the City of Jefferson Police and the Georgia State Patrol assisted in the search. Several K-9 units were used from several agencies and GSP offered air support.
