Pandering cases still pending in Banks County

HOMER - Only a handful of the 11 people arrested as a result of a sex-for-hire operation in Banks County on Wednesday, Jan. 23, have faced those charges in court.

According to Banks County Clerk of Court records, Horice Keith Segars, 46, of Lula, who was charged with pandering, entered a guilty plea June 27 to two counts of loitering and was fined $2,200.

Cuong Nam Dao, 42, of Flowery Branch entered a guilty plea on July 12 to the charge of pandering and was sentenced to 12 months of probation and a $700 fine.

Thad Robert Pruitt, 44, of Homer entered a plea of not guilty to the charge of pandering on June 27.

Cases for Larry Avery Dalton, 68, of Gainesville and Gabriel Franchesco Mayberry, 40 of Commerce, who both were charged with pandering, have been continued, said Banks County Clerk of Court Tim Harper.

Those who have not yet appeared in court for their Jan. 23 arrests include:
