HOMER - Officers from the Madison County Sheriff's Office and Banks County Sheriff's Office have apprehended wanted felon Johnny Cue Holliday, 22.
The apprehension was on East Piedmont Park in Hull.
The Banks County Sheriff's Office had been seeking the public's help in locating the man, who fled from an undercover drug operation Monday.
Banks County Chief Deputy Shawn Wilson said officers from BCSO conducted an undercover drug operation in the Banks Crossing area. When officers attempted to perform a traffic stop on the suspected drug dealer's vehicle, the driver fled south on Interstate 85.
Officers pursued and officers trained in the Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) maneuver stopped the vehicle.
As the operation continued, Holliday fled the area.
Holliday faces charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, sale of methamphetamine, theft by receiving a stolen vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and numerous traffic charges. He also is wanted on outstanding warrants from other areas within the region, Wilson said.
