Celia Savage, dressed in a charcoal gray pants suit had nothing to say to reporters as she hastily entered a waiting car and left the courthouse after her plea hearing before Judge Richard Story.
Savage, accompanied by her mother and appointed attorney Jeffrey Ertel, pleaded guilty to counts one and two of the indictments against her - making a firearm or pipe bomb and possession of an unregistered firearm or pipe bomb, both violations of federal law.
Prosecutor William McKinnon said Savage admitted to agents on May 30th, 2012 during a search of her bedroom at her home that she made five to seven pipe bombs. Agents found two pipe bombs during the search along with bomb making materials. He said she explained at the time that she "enjoyed blowing things up as a hobby."
Savage, after entering her plea, said she knew it was wrong but she had no harmful intent. Judge Story said she could explain further at her sentencing hearing, in about 90 days. Savage could get up to 57 months in prison, plus a $250,000 fine. McKinnon recommended the 'greatest reduction possible.
Savage remains on free on bond.
