ATLANTA - The state said in a press release Tuesday it will offer motorcycle license testing at a rally later this month in north Georgia.

The Department of Driver Services (DDS) said the Georgia Motorcycle Safety Program will offer the tests at the Southern Cruisers Rally in Commerce on July 20.

DDS officials say no appointments are necessary. The mobile testing site will be set up at 400 Pottery Road (next to Outback Steakhouse) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Commissioner Rob Mikell said he encourages all riders to get licensed and trained.

"The Mobile License Testing (MLT) Program offers a convenient way for valid motorcycle permit holders to test for their full motorcycle license at community sponsored events throughout the state," he said.
