BARNESVILLE - Authorities are searching for a suspect in the hit-and-run death of a college student as she walked to her job at a Huddle House restaurant in Barnesville.

Georgia State Patrol officials say Alexandria Desir of Locust Grove was struck by a vehicle as she walked along Rose Avenue in Barnesville late Saturday night.

Authorities say Desir was a student at Gordon State College in Barnesville.

Investigators believe the vehicle is a Saturn Vue between the model years 2002 and 2005. The right front corner of the vehicle should be damaged, the GSP said, and the light should be missing.
