Two arrested in arson fire, vandalism

CLEVELAND - Authorities have arrested two suspects in connection with the arson fire and vandalism incident that occurred Wednesday night at The Pickin' Barn behind Mitch Simpson Motors, south of Cleveland.

White County Sheriff Neal Walden said the arrest were made Friday afternoon.

One of the suspects is a 14-year-old male, whose name was not released because he is a juvenile.

White County Chief Deputy Bob Ingram identified the other as 18-year-old Dakota Russell Garrett of Dahlonega.

Ingram said Garrett is in the White County Detention Center and the juvenile was taken to the Regional Youth Detention Center in Gainesville.

According to Ingram, the investigation is continuing and the two could be connected to other incidents.
