ATLANTA - An investigation continues into the apparent drowning of a woman in Lake Russell earlier this week, and very few details are being revealed, but authorities have now released her identity.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Thursday the victim is 29-year-old Meredith Leigh Kinard Watkins. Her body was pulled from Lake Russell in Elbert County just after 12 a.m. Tuesday.

Watkins' body was sent to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy on Tuesday, but as of Thursday morning, an exact cause of death had not been determined.
