The Georgia State Patrol Monday afternoon released the name of the man who allegedly led authorities on a two-county chase, ultimately crashing into a trooper's vehicle in Hall County Sunday night.

34 year old William Jason McClure of Winder is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, driving under the influence, and reckless driving, according to GSP.

The chase began when the suspect turned his vehicle around to avoid a driver checkpoint in Gwinnett County. He then sped away, according to troopers.

Authorities said McClure struck a van, injuring a pregnant woman. She was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Her condition hasn't been released.

Later, McClure allegedly struck a state trooper's vehicle in Hall County on Friendship Road. The trooper was not injured.

Troopers said McClure was caught by Gwinnett County Police when he crashed into oncoming traffic. According to GSP, McClure will also face charges in Gwinnett County.

McClure was taken to the hospital on his way to Gwinnett County Jail.
