FLOWERY BRANCH - The North Georgia Christian School yearbook staff earned its second award this academic year for outstanding work.

Walsworth Yearbooks has inducted the 2013 Equus into its "Gallery of Excellence," which is reserved for only a small percentage of yearbooks that the company produces.

President of Walsworth Yearbooks, Don Walsworth, said "these yearbooks are used by our nationwide sales force as great examples, loaned to schools across the country to serve as idea generators, and displayed at regional, state, and national conventions and workshops."

When asked what made the success possible, junior Morgan Johnson replied, "Mrs. Gruver helped us work as a team." One of three first-year editors, Johnson added, "We had a new editorial staff [this year], and she made it fun."

In September, the NGCS Yearbook Staff received the "National Yearbook Program of Excellence" for its work on the 2012 Equus.

Teresa Gruver serves as the faculty yearbook sponsor, and praised the staff for its hard work and diligence. Gruver stressed the staff's commitment to excellence and continued, "They stayed late, came in on Saturdays, and put in the extra effort to put forth an outstanding yearbook."

Founded in 1984, North Georgia Christian School will conclude its first year in its current Flowery Branch location with graduation exercises next Friday, May 31.
