BUFORD - Right in the middle of all of the rain and flooding over the weekend, thieves were at work along Gainesville Highway in the Buford-Flowery Branch area.

Hall County Sheriff's Deputy Chad Mann said a 26-foot Penske truck was stolen from one location and a total of four personal watercraft and a double trailer were reported missing from another. In addition, Mann said there were three reported cases of someone entering autos.

"[The thefts happened] sometime after 5 p.m. on Saturday to Monday morning, so it could have happened late Saturday night or any time during the day on Sunday," said Mann.

He said investigators are hoping someone witnesses suspicious activity and can offer some help to authorities.

"If anyone has seen any suspicious activity in the neighborhood, just give us a call at 770-531-6900...or you can also leave us an anonymous tip at 770-503-3232," said Mann.

Photos of items similar to the ones stolen over the weekend are posted with this news story. Additional photos are available on the Hall County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, which is linked below.
