CLEVELAND - A rural mail carrier was injured Monday when the delivery vehicle he was using overturned in White County.

The accident occurred just before noon in the Jenny's Cove area at the intersections of Randy Road and Martin Drive.

Capt. Tim Chapman of the White County Sheriff's Office said the carrier, Samuel Sparks, was delivering mail at the time of the wreck. While looking at the mail, he ran off the road then overcorrected, causing the 1969 Jeep to overturn.

Sparks was transported to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, which were not serious.
