FLOWERY BRANCH - Boil water advisories issued by both the City of Gainesville and the City of Flowery Branch following Sunday's drenching rains have now been lifted.

The Gainesville Water System had imposed a ban on 18 residents on Trudy Drive after a water line burst in that area. Environmental Services Director Horace Gee said Tuesday morning that all tests came back negative Monday, meaning the water in the neighborhood is safe for consumption.

In addition, Flowery Branch Mayor Mike Miller confirmed that residences and businesses who are customers of the Flowery Branch Water System got the "all clear" after Monday's 5 p.m. testing on water samples came back negative.
