GAINESVILLE - A Gainesville pizzeria with a restaurant on the downtown square is planning a move that would multiply its current square footage nearly seven times.

According to Brent Hoffman with Prudential Georgia Realty, Atlas Pizza owners Mark and Vic Jordan have purchased the two-story 32,000 square feet 305 Bradford Street building. It's known as the previous location of Treasures for Your Home.

Hoffman said the business plans extensive renovation of the top floor of the building over the next four months to include a 60-80 customer porch, a sports bar with over 20 TV's, four pool tables, three dart board alleys and a golf simulator.

The Jordans also plan a stage for local performances and a family area with video games, skee ball and a basketball goal.

"We have been fortunate to have grown very quickly and really see the need to expand to better serve our customers who have been very loyal to our restaurant. Gainesville needs a larger restaurant with more amenities to enjoy," the Jordan brothers said in a news release.

Hoffman, who brokered the sale, said Lakeview Interiors and Antiques was expected to sign a lease to continue operating out of the lower level of the building.

There's no word yet on an opening date, although Hoffman said grand opening information should be forthcoming late in the summer.
