City finance manager Tina Wetherford said the refunds go back to 2007. She said they've exhausted all efforts to contact the individuals owed money.
We really hope some of these people will come forward so we can settle their accounts and not have to turn this money over to the state," Wetherford said.
She said in the future, the city plans to publish the list of unclaimed refunds to settle the accounts annually.
Officials said if you find your name on the list, call the utilities department at 770-535-6878.
