UNDATED - Chattahoochee Riverkeeper's (CRK) Outings Program for 2013 begins near the top of the watershed with its annual Water Trail Camp and Paddle Trip on the weekend of April 27-28 in the Headwaters.

The 21-mile trek extends from Sautee Creek to Mossy Creek State Park.

The Upper Chattahoochee River Water Trail is a pristine section of waterway in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and this event is designed for experienced paddlers, according to a release from CRK.

The camping portion of the event will be at Buck Shoals State Park.

The cost of this weekend camp and paddle trip is $75 per person, which includes breakfast and dinner for both nights. Find more information at the links below.

New events in the Outings Program for 2013 include:

*A tour of Lake Lanier aboard our catamaran (Aug. 3), led by CRK Technical Programs Director Jason Ulseth.

*A 4.5-mile hike (Sept. 28) to the spring in the Headwaters that gives birth to the Chattachoochee River
