ATHENS -- While Michael Gettys continued his outstanding season for Gainesville baseball on Wednesday, his younger brother also continued his meteoric rise.

Jonathan Gettys dominated Clarke Central from the mound, tossing a no-hitter against the Gladiators in an 8-1 win -- the one run being unearned.

Jonathan Gettys also struck out 14 batters in the victory, going the full seven innings.

Meanwhile, Michael Gettys starred at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a single, double and triple, while Brandon Sewell went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Hunter Anglin also went 3-for-4, and Caleb Whitenton finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

The Red Elephants (14-2, 6-1 Region 8-AAAAA) will look to knock off Clarke Central again on Friday in Gainesville, at 5:55 p.m. at Ivey-Watson Field.
