Six arrested for trafficking drugs in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE - Authorities with three agencies arrested six people on a list of drug charges, including trafficking, Wednesday.

The Gainesville-Hall County Multi Agency Narcotics squad led the investigation with help from Gainesville Police officers and Hall County Sheriff's Office deputies.

MANS Lt. Scott Ware said the arrests happened at 1030 Summit Street in Apartment H-2, during execution of a search warrant. Five of those facing charges are men from Gainesville. One Flowery Branch woman was also arrested.

Authorities seized drugs including heroin, methadone tablets, alprazolam and marijuana. Ware said the estimated total street value of the drugs is $6800. Ware said more arrests in the case are anticipated.

Investigators charged all six suspects with trafficking heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of methadone with the intent to distribute, possession of alprazolam with the intent to distribute and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

The suspects are identified as 25 year old Nicolous Andrew Jenkins, 24 year old Jackie Phillip Smith, 21 year old Tony Bradley, 26 year old Robert Lenard Hale and 42 year old Tony Lerome Parish, all of Gainesville, according to Ware. 27 year old Janet Lynn Smith had a Flowery Branch address.

Ware said the arrests happened without incident. All six suspects were booked into the Hall County Jail.
