JROTC Academic Team from RMA headed to National Competition

GAINESVILLE - The JROTC Academic Team of Riverside Military Academy recently earned a 1st Place spot during the second level of the JROTC Academic Bowl Challenge sponsored by The College Options Foundation (COF). Out of 3,370 schools across the nation, the RMA team is one of only 24 teams advancing to the 2013 Army JROTC Tri-Service Academic Bowl Championship at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA on June 21-25.

The Riverside team includes C/SSG Benjamin Jobson, C/SFC DoYeun Kim, C/SSG Kevin Muir, C/1SG Harrison Summerour, and C/2LT Jake Weiner. Their coach is 1SG Thomas Walker, RMA Military Science Instructor. Trip expenses will be covered by the COF and will include a day of sight-seeing in Washington, D.C.
