Tennis: Spartans hold off North Hall

FLOWERY BRANCH -- West Hall swept the singles in taking a tough 4-1 win over Johnson Thursday in boys tennis action at the Bobby Bailey Tennis Center.

Max Wilson beat Drew Eidson 6-2, 6-0 at no. 1 singles while Tatum Scroggs rallied from a set down to beat Jackson Davis 2-6, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. Min Kim whipped Dawson Smith 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

North Hall got its only win at No. 1 doubles when Lucas Martin and Paxton Gillespie won a marathon match 6-4, 6-7, 10-8 over West Hall's Kip O'Kelley and Grayson Kyle.

West Hall closed out the match at No. 2 doubles when Austin Dyer and Connor Kirkland beat Dalton Patterso and Reid Rattanzi 6-1, 6-4.

West Hall improved to 4-3 on the season and will play host to East Hall its Region 7-AAA opener next Tuesday.
