North Georgia Christian Lady Chargers win 2nd straight ICSGA state crown

The North Georgia Christian Lady Chargers won their second consecutive ICSGA 1-A state basketball championship on Saturday by defeating the Cumberland Christian Lady Patriots 41-39 at the Columbus Arena.

The Lady Chargers were led by Sarah Rhodes' 15 points -- 13 of which came from free throws. Julianne Sutton hit for 8 points, Jana Butler added 6 points, and Nicole Ball and Haley Dempsey each added 5 for the Lady Chargers.

Jordan Ball, Nicole Ball, and Sarah Rhodes were all named to the All Tournament team, with Sarah Rhodes also being named the 1-A MVP.

With the win the Lady Chargers season is now complete.
