GAINESVILLE - There's been a positive outcome for a Great Pyrenees dog found in Hall County this month, shot with an arrow.

Will Peters spotted the injured white female dog February 1 on Athens Highway at Lenox Road and took her to the Hall County Animal Shelter.

Doctor Meghan Seabolt operated on the dog, now named Florence, and successfully removed the arrow from her back. Peters has decided to adopt her.

County animal control officials have posted signs in the area Florence was found, hoping to determine who shot her.
