Soccer: Carter scores twice as GHS girls down Johnson

GAINESVILLE -- Hartley Carter scored twice to help the Gainesville High girls soccer team past Johnson 2-1 on Friday at City Park in Gainesville.

Carter scored her first on an assist from Margaret Carpenter, her second came off a through pass from Mary Catherine Dempsey.

The Lady Red Elephants (3-1) will play host to North Oconee on Tuesday.

Brittany Martin scored for Johnson.

The Lady Knights will travel to face Habersham Central on Tuesday.
