Gainesville Jaycees honor Wilheit, Coyle and Tunkel at annual awards ceremony

GAINESVILLE -- Jim Coyle and Staci Tunkel became the latest honorees at the Gainesville Jaycees Young Man, Young Woman of the Year awards banquet on Thursday, while Philip Wilheit earned the lifetime achievement award.

Wilheit, a former Jaycee, was honored for his various and vast work in the Hall/Gainesville community, including the Northeast Georgia Medical Health System board, Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce economic development council and University System of Georgia Board of Regents amongst other endeavors.

Coyle, meanwhile, joined a lengthy list of honorees for his work with the Gateway Domestic Violence Center, North Georgia Community Foundation Board, Lakeview Academy and Brenau University, amongst other organizations.

Young Woman of the Year Tunkel is a volunteer with CASA and also works with Teen Pregnancy Prevention and Centerpoint, as well as coaching Odyssey of the Mind at the DaVinci Academy.
