COMMERCE - The Tanger Outlet Center in Commerce raised and is donating $13,622 for the battle against breast cancer. Tanger made its local donation to the Northeast Georgia Chapter of the American Cancer Society during a special ceremony recently.

"Tanger is committed to supporting Breast Cancer research" stated Steven B. Tanger, President and Chief Executive Officer for Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, Inc. "I am proud of our Tanger Team members in Commerce for their continued hard work in fighting breast cancer and I thank our shoppers for supporting Tanger's mission to find a cure for this terrible disease."

Tanger's 2012 PinkSTYLE Campaign ran September 12- October 25 with funds being raised through the sale of the TangerSTYLE Pink Card. For a $1 donation to local breast cancer beneficiaries, Tanger customers received a special pink card that provided 25% bonus savings at participating Tanger Outlet stores.

In addition to the sale of Pink Cards, Tanger raised money to fight breast cancer through it's 4th Annual Fit For Families 5K Run/Walk which had over 400 registered participants.

Since 1994, Tanger has donated over $11 million to fight breast cancer nationally.
