Soccer: Lady Falcons open with 2-0 defeat of Johnson

OAKWOOD -- The Flowery Branch girls soccer team opened the 2013 season with a 2-0 defeat of rival Johnson on Tuesday at Billy Ellis Memorial Stadium in Oakwood.

Julia Sienkiewicz and Kimberly McNeil each scored second half to help the Lady Falcons (1-0) claim the win.

Flowery Branch's Corrie Thomas recorded an assist.

Elizabeth Bachmann recorded the shutout in goal with one save.

Flowery Branch will travel to face Buford on Friday.
