ELLIJAY - Gilmer County sheriff's investigators are searching for a suspect in connection with a triple shooting in north Georgia.

The shooting happened Sunday at a Simmons Road home in Ellijay after an argument between acquaintances. Two men and a woman were left wounded.

Authorities said the two male vicitims were airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center with wounds to the head. One of the men was seriously wounded. James Stafford took the injured woman to North Georgia Medical Center in Elijay.

Authorities said Stafford ditched the car at the hospital, then fled on foot. He was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket and jeans.

He is not believed to be armed.
