Cheyenne Nicole Burtch of Carnesville faces the murder count as well as aggravated battery, according to the Athens Banner Harold.
12 week old Curtis Burtch the third died of severe head injuries at an Atlanta hospital following the January ninth incident.
Investigators told the paper there are still unanswered questions about how the injuries happened.
Cheyenne Burtch was denied bond this week.
