Nebraska (8-4) vs. No. 23 Georgia (8-4), Noon (ESPN2)

Line: Georgia by 9

Series record: Tied 1-1

WHAT'S AT STAKE

Maybe a little momentum heading into 2014. Both coaches agree that a win would provide a feel-good atmosphere for a few weeks or a couple months, but Nebraska's Bo Pelini adds that "whether you win, you lose, no matter how the game goes, the same challenges lie ahead as far as what we need to do as a football team to win a championship next year."

KEY MATCHUP

Nebraska's defense vs. Georgia RB Todd Gurley. The sophomore has 903 yards rushing and 10 TDs despite missing three-plus games with an ankle injury. He could become the third tailback in school history with consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. Herschel Walker (1980-83) and Knowshon Moreno (2007-08) also accomplished the feat. The Cornhuskers, meanwhile, have allowed 161.2 yards a game on the ground.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Nebraska: Junior I-back Ameer Abdullah has 1,568 yards rushing and eight TDs, the fifth-best season in program history. The only Cornhuskers with more yards in a single season are Mike Rozier, Ahman Green and Lawrence Phillips.

Georgia: Junior QB Hutson Mason, who will make his second career start in place of Aaron Murray. Mason completed 22 of 36 passes for 299 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception in a double-overtime victory against Georgia Tech in November.
