DACULA - Investigators with the Gwinnett County Police Department are still trying to piece together an incident that lead to the murder of a Gainesville woman Saturday afternoon.

Police said the body of 62-year-old Peggie Robinson was found at the house on Evergreen Eve Crossing in Dacula. They said Robinson was dropping off a child at the home when, for unknown reasons, she was stabbed by the child's father, identified as 35-year-old Wolf Griffin. Police believe Robinson was a family friend, acting as a third party intermediary in a custody exchange.

Another person at the residence, later determined to be the child's grandfather, called 911, asking police to go to the crime scene and meet with him at police headquarters at the same time.

Authorities said they interviewed Griffin and determined there was enough evidence to charge him with aggravated assault and felony murder. Griffin remains jailed without bond.

Gwinnett police said the child was not injured in the incident.
