FLOWERY BRANCH - Two people, including a child, were taken to hospitals following wreck in south Hall County Friday afternoon.

Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said the child was initially taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. He said the child's condition deteriorated in the ambulance.

"A decision was made in conjunction with the medical center to air lift that juvenile to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta," Kimbrell said.

The other transported victim was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with what Kimbrell described as moderate but non life-threatening injuries.

The two-vehicle crash happened around 3:45 p.m. on Poplar Springs Road at Weaver Road.

Kimbrell said two other people were checked out on the accident scene.

"We did get two refusals on the scene. They were evaluated and determined that they would probably go (to the hospital) later on to be checked out."

The Georgia State Patrol worked the accident.

Poplar Springs Road was blocked while emergency crews worked the accident.
