Gwinnett County police announced the murder charges Friday against Elizabeth Calvo, 21, and Adam Garbo, 25, in the death of Aiden Calvo, age 2.
Police said the parents were arrested initially on December 16 when authorities were called to the Steeple Chase Apartments on Hunt Club Run. When emergency responders arrived at that location, they found Aiden suffering with serious injuries and having seizures. When the parents could not explain to authorities how the child was hurt, they were charged with child cruelty.
The child was transported to Scottish Rite Hospital where he died Sunday, December 22.
Investigators upgraded charges against the child's parents following his death.
