CLARKESVILLE - Quick work by Habersham County sheriff's investigators is continuing to help clear up several burglaries.

Joshua Adam Doster, 36, of Demorest was arrested mid-morning Friday, following a brief foot chase with Investigator Chance Oxner and Investigator James Minutello.

That arrest is continuing to yield stolen property, Sheriff Joey Terrell said late Monday. Initially, the arrest cleared up a few burglary cases.

"It looks like it might have cleared up a couple more," Terrell said. "It might be five or six or seven burglaries that were cleared up - I don't know exactly yet. It was some good work!"

The sheriff's office initially reported Monday afternoon that the value of items taken was more than $50,000.

Terrell said those initial dollar value estimates on the stolen property will be revised because more items were recovered during the day Monday.

"They were still working it - that's what they're doing right now," Terrell said. "I don't know exactly yet how much it will be. It was a bunch, it sure was. Several, several thousand dollars worth of stuff that was gotten and that was returned to the owners."

Terrell said items taken ranged from tools to jewelry - "there's just a whole myriad of stuff that was taken from different places that they recovered."

Doster remains in the Habersham County Detention Center with bond currently set at $16,800.
