Monday at 3:00 p.m., the level of the lake was at 1072.8
While we usually hear of issues about low water, Lisa Parker with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said high water levels can cause some issues as well.
"We do start seeing impacts to recreational areas as far as boat ramps, boat launches. Homeowners around the lake will experience some riprap issues. Vegetation will begin sloughing off into the lake."
1070 is full pool for the Winter.
"We'd like to see the lake get back down to 1070 and maintain itself until mid-April when we would typically start raising the pool level back up to 1071," Parker said.
Rainfall amounts in Gainesville Sunday were over 3.6 inches.
