ROSWELL, Ga. - Roswell police say they've found two bodies during their search for a missing 4-year-old boy and his father.

The bodies of a male and a child were found shortly after 10 a.m. Friday in a wooded area, about a half-mile from his apartment in the Atlanta suburb, Roswell police Officer Lisa Holland said.

Police had issued a child abduction alert early Friday morning and began searching for Jesus Dominguez when officers found his mother Thursday afternoon, severely beaten. She was found unresponsive in the apartment on Old Holcomb Bridge Way and was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

Police believe the bodies are that of the child and father, but are awaiting positive identification from the medical examiner, Holland told The Associated Press. Police are treating the case as a murder-suicide.

A specially trained Child Abduction Recovery Team, which was called in to search for the child, made the discovery in the woods not far from two apartment complexes in the area.

``It's like a trail system behind these apartment complexes,'' Holland said.
