Authorities said Thursday Richard J. Bradberry, 42, of Jasper was struck by a vehicle when he tried to cross the access road from Buford Drive onto I-85 northbound. The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. before sunrise, according to investigators.
The driver of the vehicle that struck Bradberry was identified as Joseph Miyoke of Sterling, Virginia. Miyoko was driving a rental car, according to a police report. The vehicle was impounded as part of the continuing investigation.
